Frank Boyd has been one of the pioneers of the UK's new media sector since founding the Arts Technology Centre in 1989. He has worked as producer, funder and trainer on a series of innovative development programmes in the arts, broadcast, and education in the UK, Europe, the US and Australia
He established the European Multimedia Labs and the UK's Digital Media Alliance. He was a founder member of BAFTA’s Interactive Entertainment Awards before joining BBC Innovation and Learning as Director of Creative Development. At the BBC, Frank directed a series of development labs for interactive television, broadband and cross-platform production
As Creative Director of Unexpected Media, he designs and directs the BBC's Innovation Labs series and is currently developing a new series of Labs for Channel 4. He is also leading the international Crossover series of collaborative workshops, including Crossover UK and Crossover Games in October
