I started my business (andymayer.net) three years ago to specialise in Web 2.0, online communities, collaboration and social networking. We now employ four full-time people and are based in offices in Sheffield Technology Parks.

We help clients build successful online communities that support their business objectives by connecting users together. Clients range from large public sector to small highly entrepreneurial start ups.

For the past three years we have developed an extensive set of building blocks to support online communities called 'Tramlines'. Drawing on these ready-proven web modules, we are able to quickly deliver innovative solutions integrating a range of new media applications such as Facebook, SMS messaging, online databases, video and audio content.

Last year we won an R&D award from Melt, a project supported by Orange, BBC and Channel 4, to develop a mobile social networking platform that is location-aware. We are based in Sheffield city centre at the Technology Parks and will be moving to the new Digital Campus in 2009.
