BBC Innovation Labs is a pilot project to develop innovative new products and services with independent New Media companies from across the UK.
The first labs took place in Yorkshire, London and the North-West in Spring 2006. They were a great success, with a total of 12 ideas getting further development funding and support from the BBC Internet commissioning team.
Just-b. were responsible for producing the Yorkshire lab, which saw ideas from regional companies Technophobia, Dubit and Synergy selected by the commissioners. BBC New Media are now planning next year’s labs, and we’re looking forward to the next stage of the project!
